NAATSIHWP Annual Members Survey 2023

A lack of publicly available data continues to obstruct NAATSIHWPs ability to measure, report and advise on workforce trends and, to target effort and investment where it is needed most. After raising this issue for over a decade NAATSIHWP is calling on all full members to support our leadership and join us in establishing a new research and data capability. With a national membership network of well over 1000 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners we want to ensure the workforce is in control of its own future.

While this is a new way of doing things and is a long-term project that will evolve over time, regularly completing NAATSIHWP’s Annual Survey is an important first step. Completing the survey should take no more than 15 minutes of your time. In return, we will keep you informed of findings, tailor support to better meet your needs and ensure your aspirations for the workforce are taken forward.
This year’s survey has been extended to 10 March 2023.

Together we can strengthen the evidence base, grow a deeper understanding of the workforce and steer our own course. We know that a strong, informed and professional Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Worker and Practitioner workforce delivers better health and wellbeing outcomes for our mob.
The workforce is a vital, valued and professional component of Australia’s health care system, critical to improving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing outcomes.

If you are a FULL or STUDENT member and didn’t receive a copy of the survey or would like more information please don’t hesitate to contact the NAATSIHWP team via email at: policy@naatsihwp.org.au or, phone on: 1800 983 984.
